Right. Ostensibly it says that no citizen can be denied the right to own/bear arms. annnnnnnnd i liked that Bodyguard 380 a LOT, but to get it legally in CA you have to change the barrel, put in a plugged magazine, transfer it under a "single shot exemption", then change the barrel and mag back. that's just a hassle. and i get worried about sidestepping laws, even if they're asinine laws.
