I'm glad Roger the Shrubber made it in to that trailer.

So kinda an uplifting thing. Pig Snout is a local group that is IMO really fucking badass. Pig Snout is Dahlia, 6 years old, Lucien, 9 years old and their old dad. Dahlia and Lucien switch off between drums and keys and bass while dad plays guitar.
So what, right? What is this the fucking partridge family you say?
Justin started teaching music to Lucian with the idea of performing in front of people to help him deal with his autism. Lucian has a hard time expressing emotion or understanding what other people are feeling and had anxiety issues when around people outside of his family. ( I may have some of this wrong, I don't press for details)
So Pig Snout was formed. Dahlia wanted to make noises too, so at six, she joined her first three piece band.
Here's the thing. These kids fucking rock. Its heavy, and incorporates synth and noise boxes and all kinds of stuff that ILF folks go nutty for. It's definitely a lot of fun and transcends the awwwww factor. Some people at ludwig heard about them and they just sent them a quest love sig kit, it's small, and it wasn't even any sort of sponsor thing or deal or whatever. they just sent it with a note saying they love what the bands about and wanted to support the kids.
Here they are chilling with Red Fang (aka the guys that buy all the milk and the crazy drummer) during last weekends bleak outlook tacoma festivities. Fucking rock stars.
Seeing a kid who had issues dealing with anything social receive so much support from the local music scene is really rad. he clearly enjoys himself and does interact, and getting to do it with the people they do is just awesome. Justin gets dad of the decade in my book.
