about 6 mo ago i watched the first star trek film (og, obv) and it was pretty good...i never got into the tv series, or TNG, or anything star trek
but im a huge star wars fuckin geek
the Extras episode with patrick stewart is awesome

Enemy Mine? I recall watching that... a long, long time ago. Not sure if it holds up today.
District 9 isn't really a space movie, but there are aliens involved. Same with Attack The Block.

There have been some good ones mentioned. Here are a few:
SPACE 1999
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
Forbidden Planet
Fantastic Voyage (not outer space, but still awesome vintage exploration)
The Quiet Earth (probably one of my favorite science fiction movies)
Firefly: it's awesome *nods head*
Prometheus was so entertaining, it's just not a movie you ever want to ever think critically about or it'll be ruined.
There are only two good Star Trek movies (outside of the most recent ones). Wrath of Kahn and First Contact both are awesome and all the other star treks are fan service. If anyone says anything good about Nemesis I will fight you! *mean look* *giggles*
