When it comes to Godflesh, Pure was my jam.

Fucking HELLHAWK. Maybe the coolest name for an amp ever...

"Hymns" is super underrated, but "Pure" is my favorite too. :thumb:

But back to Science, yeah I saw these a year or so ago and sort of forgot about them. Damn this thread for reminding me and getting me to think about what I could get rid of to get one.

yeah...those amps look really cool, but in the end, i'm pretty damn happy with the amp i got on ebay a few years back for a little over a hundred bucks. i can't imagine spending 10 or 20 times that (or more!) for something that i'm going to end up using in the exact same way.

Google is our friend, and simultaneously our enemy

It is really up to your needs and desires, yes I have 2 200+ watt amps but I don't always use them. In my current band I use my lil 30watter as its all I need in that situation. But When I'm doing 125+ DB stage volume drone in Drop F and need two amps to push 10x12's and 5x15's with as much bass as they can handle I need all those watts.

It's horses for courses. The only thing I'm saying is that a 30w head is not going to work in every band setting. But I most definitely don't look down on those that do use them, cause hey I am one!

I understand that, wasn't trying to put down anyones rig. Mostly just for me, since most bigger gigs mic our amps, higher wattage seems a little too much. And like I said, the decibels thing was just what I read, no expertise here!

*EDIT: These prices are somewhat introductory and subject to change.

I email'd for a price list and the amps are between $1500 and $2000.
The cabs are $400-$900 depending on if they are loaded or not.

That seems like a really fair pricing and has me wanting a Decolonizer and a 412 in this color scheme:

First thing I thought of when I read the thread title.

The Decolonizer is terribly intriguing. It would be nice a 100 watt head again. Must...resist. Has anyone heard/played one of these? Is it a Marshall-style gain channel?

The Shiv sounds good to me. Don't have any 2-channel amps around...

I know bud, that's why I kept it kosher  And your right most gig's will mic your rig that's why I used a 30w in my last band but I was in standard tuning. I mainly use the higher wattage with my detuned guitars to push the big ass magnet 15's with lots of low end. Decibels are tricky business but basically 10db's is perceived as twice as loud, 6db's is perceived as "considerably and noticeably louder".
