PPR is cool with me but I think the 2nd flex or auction draft might get too complicated.

What happens now?
If I remember right, we need to give BCBC our email address so he can "invite" us once the league is set up.

The Sunday evening draft worked pretty good for most in the past.
If that's still the case, August 25 or Sept. 01 would probably be best.
The season starts Thursday, September 5th.
OK, I'll commish, no prob. I have no problem with PPR, my other league is PPR too. But I'm gonna try to talk you guys into a second flex. I don't know about you guys, but I like being able to start a questionable guy that would otherwise be riding my bench. You never know, sometimes those guys go off and score 30. It just adds a bit of fun where you can start one more guy as a kind of lottery ticket.

As for the draft, either the 25th or 1st would work for me, but I think the 1st would be better.

And as for space6oy, dude, if you want in, that's totally cool, we have a few weeks to find one more person, that shouldn't be a problem. Yes, we're doing team defenses, and I'd like to do 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX, 1K and 1D.

So, yes, all of you guys send me your email addresses, ILF usernames and team names and I'll set up the league and invite you. Send them by email, not PM please. My email is bigchiefbc(at)yahoo.com. Once everyone gets their invites, send me the $20 by paypal gift. My paypal is the same email address.

Email sent!

2nd Flex is fine with me and whatever else you decide when setting up the league is cool too.

One more question for you guys. If we have 12 guys at $20 each, that's $240 bucks. That'd probably pay for one hell of a nice custom fuzzhugger pedal. Do we want all of that to go to the winner, or do we want to divide it up a bit and have a smaller GC for second place? Like maybe $180/60 or $160/80? Just putting it out there to see what you guys have to say.

Emailed as well!

I like the idea of a consolation prize for 2nd place. One thing to also think about is the schedule. Do we avoid week 17? How long for each playoff round? How many people make it into the playoffs, etc

Consolation prize is cool with me.
I'd avoid WK17 and go with a 6 team playoff with byes for the division winners.

@BCBC: I put a link in the OP to the signup info. If you want anything else added there, PM me.

right on - i'm down w/ the 2flex position, do you guys play w/o a bench though?

my other league gives prizes to tournament 1st & 2nd & regular season 1st. but we chip in $55 each in a 12 player league, so it's obviously easier to split up. if you guys wanna do that since we're all tossing $ at tom for the winner(s) maybe he'd be up for tossing in a $25 gift card or X% off coupon for the regular season 1st place?

That's not a bad idea. I can ask Tom if he'd be interested in tossing a x% coupon at the regular season winner, since we're gonna get $240 of GC's from him.

Yeah we'll definitely have a bench. I forget what the standard size bench on espn is, I'll probably just go with that.

do you ILFers have a tradition like my college buds where you try to come up with hilariously amusing team names?
(i sure hope so...)

Guys, there's one more change I want to run by you. How do you guys feel about doing the free agent bidding during the year, instead of that weird waivers system? I've always done free agent pickups that way, with the bidding, and I love it. If you want a guy, you just bid a crapload for him. How do you guys feel about that?
