i just heat up water in whatever pot is available. if the temperature feels good to my pinky then i go with it.

I used my french press for the first time last night, it was horrible, which was absolutely my fault. I hate that every coffee tutorial tells you to use way way way too much coffee. It's like the global coffee troll. Noone likes it, and everyone knows you use less.
