Chick Corea, for his combination of phenomenal ability and utter lack of taste in material, groups, and settings. for every good project, he's done ten or twenty that are utter cheese.

Jack White, because his whole act is so mannered and contrived and has been ever since the start of the White Stripes.

the surviving members of the Grateful Dead, for their despicable infighting, horrible treatment of each other and of other interested parties, and ugly money battles after Jerry Garcia's death.

Eddie Van Halen, because he had nothing whatsoever to say with that remarkable technique other than "HEY, GIRLS!!1!."

a lot of the usual suspects don't get to me. i've been hearing stories about Lou Reed since i was 13, i.e. since 1970, and so i would never expect him to be anything OTHER than difficult. Billy Corgan never mattered to me, and i've only ever thought of him as that guy who gives jerky interviews or the "baldy cunt in a dress." and having grown up on Blackmore and Jeff Beck, i expect the hard-rock guitar hero a la YJM to be rather pushy, egotistical, and emotionally immature.

one thing that pisses me off, when it's not giving me a deep case of the creeps, is the practice of presenting outsider art created by the mentally ill or developmentally disabled in a way that crosses the line of exploiting those people for the amusement of an audience who view the artist as a sideshow. there have been a number of points in Daniel Johnston's life where his work has negatively affected his mental stability, and to me there was something truly awful about the way the audience consumed--and i do mean "consumed"--Wesley Willis and GG Allin. the artists don't piss me off...it angers me that they're being harmed for profit and to amuse the crowds in the Colosseum who are entertained by their self-dissolution.

Lil Wayne, because the dude is turning a rap's image even more to shit (I have to constantly re-educate people on rap, recently).

i do like a few of Jack White's songs though. And I only dislike Lou Reed because he's, in my own humble opinion, actually aggressively bad at music
