i practiced for 4-6 hours a day for years as well as playing in like 5 different bands (jazz/post-rock, bjork-ish, jam band, free improv trio, shoegaze/slowcore, laptop trio) at the time. intense!

i scaled down the practicing as i upped my laptop music time and it ended up being that i was spending 1-2 hours practicing, 3-6 hours working on computer stuff and a few rehearsals/gigs a week.

for the past few years my practicing has been pretty minimal and it's been great! i've changed the way i play a bit as well, so everything feels pretty new to me. i'm starting to get the itch to practice more, so the plan is to get a free piano and put it in the shop; that way it'll be easy to get in 1-2 hours of practice a day.
