I wouldn't even call them old. Or weird

though I like some of them and I'm known for having an aquired taste.
Let's try these:

They certainly are old. And weird in the sense that they are a tad extraordinary.

just watched Let The Right One In. I loved it. the girlfriend didn't agree with me though. but all in all, i'd say it's a vampire movie unlike any other i've seen before.

It's a Wonderful Life.
Seriously, this movie is hilarious.
"Where's Mary?"
"Without you she became an old maid."
"Where is she?!?!?!"
"I can't tell you!!"
"WHERE'S MARY!?!?!?!"
"SHE'S JUST ABOUT TO CLOSE UP AT THE LIBRARY!!!!!"
Then again, this might not be the kind of kooky you're looking for. I'm equating kooky with campy, so if that's right, go find Barbarella and the original Batman as quickly as possible.

+1
they used to show it the Xmas day here every year, and every year I watched it. It always, even as a naĆve and sensitive child, the characters seemed to me ...unreal. When I saw the John Carpenters They Live, I realized what's been bothering me.

I watched The Man Who Fell To Earth the other day. I don't consider the '70s that old, but some might.
It showed the wieners of both David Bowie AND Rip Torn. Different scenes, not a swordfighting flick.
Overall good. Not great. But entertaining. I liked the music and visuals quite a bit. Story was okay.
PS: Let The Right One In is not weird, nor is it old. It is, however, awesome and AWESOME.

Yes! One time, I got really stoned and watched this by myself. The scene where the animals are all singing really tripped me out.
