I didn't buy anything, but my wife bought me a birthday/christmas present.

I was looking for a set of new, over the ear headphones to replace my old 15 year old set. I was looking at a pair of Sennheisers at Best Buy, and was thinking about them until she pointed to the Dr. Dre Beats. I was a little leery, due to all the hype surrounding Monster and these headphones, but gave them a go. Really liked the feel and sound of the Solo HD ones over the top of the line ones; they had a better bass response and didn't seem as "flat" sounding. Wife picks them up and says "If those are what you want, let's get them."

You have to know me better, but I spent about ten minutes trying to convince her that I didn't need them, and the other ones were fine. She didn't buy it, and just walked to the register.

Got to A/B them with some world music, choral, R&B and good ol rock. These things really DO sound as good as all the press and hype. They're super comfy and have a removable cord to boot.

Long story short: I have the best wife in the world.

a copy of the 2007 limited-edition CD reissue of T Bone Burnett's Proof Through the Night album, with the Trap Door EP included as bonus material. i'm happy as can be, because those records are some of my favorites of the 80s and have been out of print for 20 years.

thirteen gallons of premium grade gasoline.

a toasted pastrami sandwich combo from Togo's.

two six-inch patch cords for my pedalboard.

four grams of Reclining Buddha medical marijuana.

six cans of Coca-Cola. yes, i do drink a lot of fucking Coca-Cola.
