back in the late 90s i knew a guy who lived in San Francisco and was a totally wack mushroom-eating Deadhead, who was employed at an advertising agency as a conceptual guy. his job was to think up totally wack ideas for commercials. i think he may have achieved an executive position somewhere. when they had the Snickers commercial where the sharks were being focus-grouped on which of the people they'd eaten tasted better, i realized i really didn't need drugs stronger than marijuana any more. reality has actually reached the point of being weirder than drugs now.

one of the best european tattoo shops is Swastika freakshop in germany, they do mostly hand poked stuff and are trying to reclaim the swastika back to the nice piece of iconography it was before the nazis ruined it for everyone (just like the chaplin/hitler injustice)

i did not know that; all i know about is the general legal bans on Nazi memorabilia and such there.

oh yeah, they really get into shit for doing it but mostly get let for religious reasons (most of them are buddhist [or at least say they are])

It's just an odd word, it can mean bleached white (literally) or with fear.

the emotion(s) that make one blanch...a kind of fear with tinges of disgust or sheer terror. when you say "blanch" your face draws back as if you're actually flinching, with the lips pulled back from the teeth and the eyes squinting. it's as if you're acting out the word symbol, a behavioral onomatopoeia.
