They're a different amp and not really that comparable at all, both sound great to my ears though. Also both kill on bass through a decent cab. The active eq on the 120 behaves completely different to the 100 but the 100 does have nice control over the eq. Ideally I'd own both but gotta give the 100 I have here back to its owner soon.

my impression is that the 100 is more like a four hole Hiwatt. that makes me interested in it. i had a 120 for a little while and that active eq didn't feel right to me.

I don't really know because i never tried a 120 but i can say that mine takes pedals like a charm......it is so clean even at high volume. I did not know sound city until i was offer that one in a trade.....i don't regret it at all.

Also, I never realized how awesome the 2x15 color combo was!

It is a pretty sweet color combo! Would go great with a V4 with a stained wood head shell.
