You guys and your compact pedals....you're compromising.

They got a nice grit for bass at the low end of the dial, it's more the workout it'll give the output section of your amp. Volume in spades, as is the BAT rule.vidret wrote:not sure i follow the convo but i think for a light OD the revelations clip too much.
Plus you're asking me and my idea of low gain OD for bass is the intro to Kylesa's Unkown Awareness.vidret wrote:not sure i follow the convo but i think for a light OD the revelations clip too much.
It's one of those weird, later Trace Elliot GP12 SMX's that have a single 12AX7 and a solid state FET in the preamp that you can blend between (which I do, although I keep the knob slightly more towards the valve section)....sooo, both?Iommic Pope wrote:They got a nice grit for bass at the low end of the dial, it's more the workout it'll give the output section of your amp. Oh wait, UC, you tube or solid state?
Probably not gonna be amazing on SS.
You will get a lot of clipping that won't sound as nice.
The DN isn't just a light od but on bass it does a great job of it. then it's also a sweet fuzz machine!UglyCasanova wrote:Bass demo? I believe I only found crap ones. Driving Notion still in the lead, although I understand it's not really a light OD. I really didn't love Mini on guitar, at all. Pluss, I'm already riding BriBri's boner hard with a Buzzz and a TAFM on my board.goroth wrote:This. No better light OD than this.sylnau wrote:BarbershopUglyCasanova wrote:I kinda want a light OD for my bass board. Just to add a little texture for the few times I play clean/non-fuzzy. Small enclosure is good. Top mounted is cool. Suggestions? I'll need demos.![]()
HM-2 is not for me, drunk Nils. We have one in the rehersal space and yeah...no.
