FSM, that's a lot of expense to throw at a $150 bass. Are short-scale necks and bodies just incredibly rare from the usual suppliers that using a Bronco is the most reasonable solution? (Wanna know because I've mulled my own ideas for a shortscale bass project.)

nooo idea. it does seem like an awful lot to sink into such a cheap neck/body, but hot damn is it aesthetically pleasing. if that was the goal, then mission accomplished

Today's SDOTD at Musician's Frenemy is the Moog Minifooger Boost for $99.

Lightest discount of the Minifoogers they've run so far, only $40 off where the Drive was like $60 or $70. Still, conventional enough that they might sell out quickly and switch to another Minifooger later in the day. Won't be the Ring, tho, since that isn't showing in their search at all now.

Any noises that the Minifoogers may be on their way out or that they're getting revamped?

I've noticed alot of the mini fooger series showing up on ebay in large lots as refurbished since their release earlier in the year, seems reliability is an issue. Been close to pulling the trigger a few times on the mf delay, but dont feel like buying somthing thats likely to crap the bed.

Pain to get this one, but good deal: Arturia MicroBrute analog synth for $200.33. PITA part: it's the deal of the day through ProAudioStar's app, available on Android and iOS. I suppose they might honor that price on the phone or through web chat, but I haven't tried that. Frankly, just trying not to buy it at all, though it is very tempting.
