Apparently, lots of people are switching to the box in envelope shipping. I've got packages from PGS and Jack Deville shipped this way. Granted, the PGS was wrapped in padding then put in the envelope.

Box in envelope is fine...as long as there is, you know, a box in the envelope.

I don't mind the envelope shipping. Pedals are robust fuckers. As long as it's in its original box and padded well, and I'm not charged the price of a box, I'm OK. PryMaxe don't do this, though. They have been known to pad poorly and they have charged folks the full price for an envelope.

I like the box + envelope thing because a lot of boxes are too small to fit shipping lables on them

Because—and this is a very generalized, highly cynical viewpoint and comment of a rather expansive community—by and large, they're ignorant fools. There have been quite a few instances where their ignorance has cost them money, a lot of money, and they don't seem to care. Even fraudulent behaviour is often ignored by them. Then arguments arise because the few that don't put up with endless $400 clones of $100 circuits clash with those that feel like they've found the holiest grail of Dumble-inspired pedals for $350, when in actuality it's just another OCD rip-off with one or two very minor part value changes. Again, this is a generalization, but there are too many 40-60 year-old men with too much money and access to too much gear. Many don't care about obvious and untrustworthy failings because they're getting cheap gear.

Where Harmony-Central slam anything and everything—they take zero shit and will destroy anything and everything that even smells slightly of piss without any discretion or calm—TGP, on the other hand, are the polar opposites. They jump from one piece of overhyped gear to the next and blatantly ignore intolerable behaviour from greedy scumbags trying to earn a quick buck.

Actually, I'd bet that it's because none of "their guys" i.e. the builders that contribute to their site either deal through Prymaxe or have expressed displeasure in doing so.

I know I wouldn't have strong feelings one way or another if I didn't know that our builder-breaux were getting boned by their business model.

They deal through PryMaxe, but they probably don't give a shit like you say.

It's not working.
