Ha! I'm pretty sure I was actually bidding on that one at one point, but decided to back out in order to bid on an API Lunchbox..... which I lost anyways.

At least I know that Fuzzrite is going to have plenty of adopted siblings to play with at his new home.

i nearly bid on that fuzzrite too

Damn, I've just checked actionindex's demo of the squarewave + again. That thing is hot. I wonder how it would work if paired with a harmonic percolator. And then there's the bezfx street sweeper. So much to buy. I also want to finally get a pedalboard and decent power supply.

Just snagged this off my local B&S for next to nothing.
Looks to be mid 60s, Thomas Organ Vox Viscount
Solid state, a bit fucked up but seems to work OK.
Loud (once I got the dirt out the pots ... my ears are ringing now), a bit harsh, but the bass channel with the X-tone bass fuzz is uber cool.
Midrange boost on the Brilliant channel is good.
Takes fuzz well too.
Those look like old Oxford Alnico gold speakers.

Shit, I'm not supposed to be buying gear

What's the story with that x-tone knob? My friend has an old box solid state bass combo and it has that on it.

Heh, a lot of hate is directed towards PRS. I never quite got it. I thought they played amazing but sounded pretty meh/like any other humbuckered guitar so wasn't worth all the monies. But those new pups are smahing and just sound damn refined but are very capable of coping 50s tones too. They're likened to bands like Nickleback, etc, whereas cool kids can't be seen playing guitars played by superdoms or whatevs. Personally I dun give a fuaaark and will play anything as I don't pay attention to any bands I don't like.
One of my first guitars that I played blues on, as I've never played/enjoyed metal, was this:

I never quite got generalisations. I only got it because Brad Nowell from Sublime played one and that wasn't metal

As far as I can tell, it's some kind of a sweepable EQ with mongo boost for different frequencies depending on where you set it.
