I wish that the AC fans just played atleast Dishonored
or Thief instead. I'm kind of bitter with AC.
Maybe i'd like Hitman, but i've heaps of those games but never really play them. But I actually feel like an Assassin in Skyrim, mostly because I tend to roleplay and only kill the big Boss and leave the bandit grunts.

I liked Assassin's Creed at first but after Brotherhood the series just ground me down to the point that I don't care anymore.

Play Hitman: Blood Money. It's the pinnacle of the series, each level is a cool little sandbox. Any fan of Dishonored, Deus Ex, Thief etc would be into it.
The latest AC is the only one that's held my attention, all the others I've bought cheap on steam and given up halfway through what seems like a five hour tutorial. I enjoy the beautiful vistas... ehhh.

Have Hitman: Absolution and 1&2. Absolution kind of annoyed me, stealth games shouldn't be linear. That game made itself look bigger than it actually was, which was disappointing.
Anyone having Steam troubles? I haven't been able to get on all day and it's 5:12pm now.

I got an xbox one for Xmas. Holy shit, it's awesome. Been playing Dead Rising 3 and Ryse and played a little bit of the new AC multiplayer. Played quite a bit of Ryse last night and it's a fucking beautiful game.

THEBEERHAMMER wrote:Im really dumbfounded at sony patting themselves on the back. Yeah they sold a lot of ps4's, but what the fuck are we supposed to do with them? Right now there are...no AAA games that were specifically developed for next gen consoles available on the ps4. As a matter of fact, there are no games, save for knack, that are ps4 exclusive. Every single game you can buy for it is little better than a port. The same exact game as on the ps3 but with more shit blowing around in the air. Nice. The only thing i use the thing for right now is watching crunchy roll. The CR app for the PS4 works better than any other medium save for just watching shit on a computer. Im really glad i didn't pay a cent for this fucking thing.
+1 My wife got me a Wii U as soon as it launched and after a few months I really lost complete interest in the damn thing. I bought it for the Windwaker re make and Rayman legends but I really just dont have the drive or will to go pick them up. Feel relived that the drive to get one of these consoles is slowly going away.
Got a steam gift card and picked up Skyrym vanilla, and Spelunky. I also picked up Balder's Gate Enhanced Edition earlier in the month. I still have 4 or 5 games unplayed from the previous summer sale so one more and I am just going to have to sit down and play all of these fucking things.
I think I am finally feigning interest in Hearthstone. Arena is REALLY dependent on RNG and ranked you plateau really quick.
HOWEVER ALL WILL BE IGNORED FOR DARK SOULS 2

I spent less than $50 on video games in 2013:
System Shock 2 $9
XCOM: EU $10
Fallout NV Ultimate $5
Metal Slug Complete $20
+ a few phone games
but if there's a Dark Souls 2 PC collectors edition that comes with the soundtrack and a shirt, I'm willing to spend $100+ for it. Gimme gimme gimme

My friend and I were WRECKING this server in BF4, me piloting the attack boat and my friend repairing/gunning. We were killing so many enemy boats and helis that the server admin clan started throwing kamikazes at us. Jetskis filled with C4, a couple fucking fighter jets trying to ram into us, passengers in helis dropping C4 from above, pirates swimming at us and trying to kill us with their repair tools...
Shit was crazy.

Just picked up Evoland and Dust during the Steam sale the other day. less than 7$ for both games should be pretty nice.
Evoland is an adventure through RPG styles, starting with 8-bit sprite up to more modern day stuff. Includes nods to Zelda as well.
Dust is sort of an action RPG. It sold me on the color and graphics before I even looked at the gameplay. But at 3.50$ I'm not complaining.
I'm still on my Skyrim kick though and I don't see myself pulling away from it for while.

Anyone else playing the new pokemon games? I've almost worked my way through X and I'm loving it just as much as when I played through pokemon yellow. And the ability to connect online for battles and trades is awesome.
If anyone wants to battle you should totally hit me up!

Well, I finally got Remember Me for $12.
I thought that the original concept was cool, cyberpunk-ish action game. But the reviews weren't good and it was supposedly really short, so I waited until it's super cheap to buy it then. I don't trust Metacritic, so maybe it's not that bad.
EDIT:
Story is cheesy as fuck, but the environments are kinda cool. It seems like it would be a really good Indie title, thats made by Capcom.
Also the protagonist suffers from Lara Croft syndrome, where she can't find stable ground that won't stop falling to pieces around her and can only jump onto and hang off
certain walls.

RIP dark souls. I updated a bunch of drivers and moved to windows 8.1 and now the game runs terribly. With or without dsfix, compatibility, run as admin, nothing works. GFWL kicks me off for having too low a frame rate. I checked other games, on the off chance my video card was dying, but skyrim still runs fine. Sad day.

I enjoyed it, playing in french with english subtitles allowed me to overlook the terrible writing a bit more. Beautiful game though. Needed more of those memory remix sequences.

I gave up on my hopes and dreams, threw my life away and resubscribed to WoW with a few friends.
Trying to lay off games is like trying to quit drugs while still hanging out with your addict bros; not happening.
