Batman Origins, anyone having a go? I've heard that there's some bugs and glitches, though I'm not sure if they've been sorted yet. AA and AC were great games.

There's a weekly live feature on Giantbomb where they play it.
I made it through the first world of Demon Souls and couldn't handle the second. Toyed with the idea of getting Dark Souls, recently, or just waiting for 2.
It's a long wait until March for the new one. Dark Souls is pretty cheap now. I will say this, though...if you hated Demon's Souls, you probably won't like Dark Souls haha

and yeah, the skeletons aren't really the problem. Sometimes I get ahead of myself and impatient and they take me down. Nito is a bitch, though. Kinda funny, because it was one of the easiest fights on my first playthrough. I'm gonna have to change up my armor or something.

I will never get tired of "amazing chest ahead" or "try holding with both hands".

Well I decided to get Max Payne 3 from the Steam Sale (I already have it on PS3 but I haven't gotten a copy back from a friend and I mostly game on PC nowadays).
Not only did I have to fucking sign up for Rockstar Social, but the game also doesn't go past the first 10 minutes without crashing.
This bullshit is making me eyeball going back to consoles. I had maybe one game throughout the entire history of the PS3 that just flat out refused to work. On PC I feel like a beta tester more often than not.

Ugh, really? I picked it up last night as well, figured I loved 2 so why not? Hopefully I don't have the same problem =/

It's a REALLY good game. I have no idea what the problem is.

Overall though, it feels like 90% of console -> PC ports are terribly optimized if not total garbage.
Man, if you guys couldn't even be bothered to change the "PRESS X BUTTON" on the title screen or let me use a mouse with the main menu, what hope is there that your port isn't shit? C'mon now.

I might have to quit playing roguelikes now I'm working full time... Hopped on the computer for a short gaming session, got caught up in it, was an idiot for one second and died, and now I've wasted my entire evening and have to go to bed.
Or I could learn to act like an adult and control myself and not play videogames all bought but that sounds
hard .

Playing Batman: Arkham Origins. I'm actually really liking it, people have been shitting on it because its "more of the same".
My only complaint is Mark isn't the voice of Joker. But then again, they're younger characters with different motivations and less experiences, so it kind of makes works that they sound similar without being what everyone expects. Batman is in Renegade mode this game which is kinda cool.
EDIT:
Since the combat is the usual 2 button tango, the boss fights essentially boil down to quicktime events. Fuck that shit.

It's weird, I loved all those games but I never met many people who liked them. Also HEALTH doing the fucking soundtrack was amazing.

Woo, discovered the problem.
If the game crashes after the first ten minutes or so, try turning off DirectX 11 in the graphics options. Go with 10 or 9 and it'll work fine.

Been rocking Dark Souls at level 25. Fully upgraded pyromancy flame is the best. It's great to get summoned in as help against an invader and then wreck him in two hits. Nobody anticipates the damage.
I like the "hard but fair" policy of this game overall, but the Bed of Chaos battle is bullshit, even for Dark Souls. Maybe one of the lamest boss fights ever. It should be fairly simple once you get the hang of things, but it's just way too easy to fuck up the jump or get swept into a pit.
I lost 150k souls which normally would make me quit the game for a while, but it's not a big deal since I'm staying at SL25. Or maybe SL30...but I really like helping people fight the gargoyles and I'm afraid I'll be too high level to be summoned by most people there. Undead Parish is one of my favorite areas of the game because it doesn't have such a heavy air of isolation.

So bummed I can't get Fallout 3 to run on Win7 without freezing.
