Word. I never finished that game because of the second boss fight.
Granted, all I carried was a souped up pistol. I never keep mines in any game.

Installed Dark Souls, rolled a sawcerur. I always scoffed at mages because they were the only people I was ever able to kill in pvp
But I'm one-shotting everyone, this is awesome. Just ventured into shitty Blighttown to get that red witch gear or whatever and then I'll go kill the gargoyles.
I get wrecked in PVP just like I did as a melee user, but I don't think I'll ever be good at PVP in this game anyway.
Some dude invaded me at the first bonfire in the newbie skeleton area right off the bat, danced around with a stick, dropped 30 humanity, 60 souls and a fire keeper soul, then rolled off a cliff to his death. Awesome.

So I just got Don't Starve on sale on Steam. Pretty awesome and such a time killer.
Also the Stanley Parable which is just weird.
Enjoyably weird though. I have no idea what's going on in it still but you guys should check it out

So fighting the hydra as a magic user is pretty much THE MOST ANNOYING SHIT. Getting to him is tedious enough, but then shielding against his melee attack is useless unless I raise my endurance by more than I'm willing to spend. Spells are useless here. If I get hit with his full melee attack it's an instant kill. So my strategy is basically to wait until he's rearing back to murder me, then run back and roll at random, hoping that he won't smash me into the ground.
Almost killed him and then walked off the cliff to my death.
WHY IS THERE A NEARLY INVISIBLE SHEER CLIFF RIGHT NEXT TO THE AREA THAT YOU HAVE TO STAND IN TO FIGHT IT
CMON GUYS DID YOU TAKE A PAGE OUT OF THE NES NINJA GAIDEN BOOK HERE

edit: uhh...I'm dumb. Turns out all I had to do was equip heavy armor and sit there with my shield up. He actually only hit me one time and it was completely absorbed...the rest of the time he went right past me while I was sitting there. I kinda...forgot how the armor/endurance system worked.
I wish I had done this before losing 80k souls, but oh well.

Annnnnnnd Deus Ex is done.

I really enjoyed it. Although, it's been a while since i've rewatched the endings...
NSFW: show
Goddamn, they aren't good. I stuck up for ME3, mainly because there actually is enough subtext in there. In DE, there's nothing... just Adam talking about how made the right decision over random footage of people. You'd think that we would find out what Megan or any of the other Scientists. Or what happens to Sarif. :idk:

Still not as shitty as the Fallout 3 ending

aw fuck!

I'm stuck at the Tomb of the Giants/Gravelord Nito. He's the last of the 4 bosses I need to kill in order to drop all of the souls in the Lord Vessel. I either die while en route to his arena in the tomb by those giant dog skeleton fucks or just get demolished when I actually begin the fight. Fucking gay.

My friend gave me his Diablo3 passwords cause he wasn't feeling it! I'm digging it pretty good. I'm on Hell with the Wizard and he's doing pretty well!

My roommates are putting in a fair share of their time into GTA online. It's pretty tits.

Once you get that last bonfire before you head to Nito, you can pretty much hug the wall and run past a lot of those skeledogs.

Man I don't even know what you dudes are talking about. Farthest I've ever gotten was Anor Londo and I was stuck because of my awful build/gear/lack of mad skills.
Now I'm fretting about not wanting to over-level and whether I should just go all the way with my wizard or keep him around 35 for uhh...some reason.
I wanna make a melee dude who can also cast spells and still be able to take some hits, but I feel like you have to specialize in this game to win.
I also wanna make another character who isn't one of those level 5 newbie killers but can also hold his own in PVP...

I have actually never played Dark Souls. There's a weekly live feature on Giantbomb where they play it.
I made it through the first world of Demon Souls and couldn't handle the second. Toyed with the idea of getting Dark Souls, recently, or just waiting for 2.
