so we had a really nice dinner, and seemed comfortable talking with each other about pretty heavy stuff like the relative direness of our economic situations. she has to get up early tomorrow so we didn't go anywhere after dinner, but we're going to e-mail and get together again soon. it was fun...i got dressed up with a tie on and stuff, she wore a pretty dress with nice earrings. we both agreed it was nice to have an excuse to dress up for someone.

i washed the curtains that hang in the windows at the head of my bed. holy crap, does it ever make the room nicer. you really don't notice things like that until you change them.
