Hey, don't beat yourself up. I don't know anything about what goes on inside these pedals. They just sound yummy (or not).
EcoMod is an envelope controlled delay
Memory Loss is a glitch delay
Kassette is a super soupy/warbly and saturated tape-like delay with a fuzzy characteristic. Feeding it too hot of a signal will kind of make it glitch too. Not glitch, but hold back the repeat before suddenly letting it bounce back. Sounds like a rubber band. Check out this video of mine. About 50 seconds in.

and just the KK (no friends/forever alone)

UglyCasanova wrote:Speaking of the Kompakt Kassette: I placed mine at the start of the chain yesterday. Power rolled back, delay time rolled back, flip switch to the right (whatever that does. Diodes? I have no idea).
Anyways: Holy shit, I want it to be my new clean sound.

I think the toggle switch is a dry kill. At least the left button on my KK is dry kill.

Haha, that's what I'm talking about with all the different versions of the same pedal. I have a dry kill button on mine, but also a switch.

Haha, leave it to UG to show everyone up haha. Love your demos man.
Mine and ST's KKs have the dry kill and like a preamp gain or something. Then there is output volume, that destroy control, and delay time.
I know Nora has a different memory loss with added stuff.
I think UG's EcoMod has unique stuff in it too.

For sure. I'd love to try to have all of his pedals one day. Most of them are very unique and great pedalboard companions.

Oh yeah, that does ring a bell! Your OctaveDrone demo, though! Good man! I've got to slap that fellow onto my board again tomorrow. Soooooo yummy. Do you remember what guitar/what PU's you used in that demo? I want some of those sounds! I'm assuming that it's played through your AC15 still at that time?

Ah, crap! Just remembered I had an octave drone too. I know mine doesn't like hotter pickups. It likes my silvertone with single coils though.

That would make sense, as I've hot fairly hot PU's in most of my guitars, and the sounds I make don't really match the ones UG made in that demo. Gotta give the ol' RS guitarworks tele a go tomorrow then.

yeah all of my demos are through my ac15 and I believe I was playing my 69 mij mustang with stock pups but it could have been my 1448 silvertone which is my usual go to guitar....but for demos i usually play the mustang. both of those guitars have pretty low output pups especially the silvertone.

Yea, I tried it with my 2007 MIJ Jaguar HH hardtail (the pickups I think are higher output fenders) and the octave drone got really compressed and kinda bloomed with decay (not in the cool way UG did it). When I got my Silvertone mosrite copy, it really opened up a bit but I still ain't getting those UG tones (which I think is a testiment to the man himself). It's got almost like a "horn" or brass envelope to it when I play it. I gotta mess with it some more. One thing I think could improve it is a master volume. With my silvertone it has a really short decay but very natural, unlike a traditional gated fuzz. I gotta play with it more.

The new KK's have switches as well. I know my right button says mess which I think just boosts the signal a fuck ton. I know I can't have the disrupt knob above 50% with that enabled or I just get white noise.

Awesome! I've got to rock out with some low output pups tomorrow!

Then it's the same thing. Running a drum machine or any other sort of audio with level volume into the KK with the boost on, just when it's on the brink of going into that white noise stage you speak of...blissful!
