:picard: Thanks guys. I can always count on you two for uniquely perplexing interpretations of seemingly uncomplicated sentiments. ----I mean: upload an audio clip to the internet. Not give me your best world-class exhibition in cerebral virtuosity within a crowded trade show center. I don't want to see it behind a glass case like it's a Fabergé artwork. I want to hear the fucking thing.

Yes, I know NAMM is a wash of disjointed sounds like an elementary school cafeteria. I know it's a corporatized event for schmoozing and ass-kissing, but the way to get people to buy audio equipment is through auditory examples. I just want someone to upload some sounds to the Web, so that I can hear the gear. Other builders provide audio examples of their stuff in advance or during the show. It makes no sense that such a practice isn't a more universal habit.
A lot of companies leave it to the distributors/shops to market. I'd like to introduce you to Andy:

Also, some are just checking interest and marketing stuff. A lot won't ever come out.

Apparently DSI is going to continue doing an 8-voice unit for $1499, so the price of the 8-voice is actually going down by over $300. For $1999, though, you get 16-voices---which seems kind of insane that DSI is doing this the same week that Korg announced a 2-voice reissue for $1599.

Some additional sounds are available here in the early and late portion. (recorded directly) *Available in March

Man I hope they produce module versions of this beast. I'd love a 16 voice prophet that could fit in my backpack. Would buy in a heart beat.

"You can field upgrade from 8 to 16 [voices] later." ---That's crazy. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any previous analog synths with that option. Maybe something from the 80s?

Also, I've seen different prices on the Toraiz AS-1, but it's going to be $499 MAP.
