regardless of wattage they are cool amps and wicked loud and crunchy, NOT like a jtm45, basically the JTM60 and 30 were baby budget versions the JCM at the time.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least, many scenarios how this could happen. And they probably pull a premium price, but like you said they would might need to be serviced.
