was a BLAST meeting Brian last night. super chill guy, very cool. Cymbals Eats Guitars were awesome. not really a genre of music i dig on usually but they were loads of fun to watch. and the noisy parts made me all happy-weepy. Hooray For Earth was really cool too.
also, left with this....

then got home and found this hidden in tbe bushes next to my front door....

back to the wobblin's!

it's just ridiculous. only things i have at my house right now that have an expression jack are a Boss PS-6 and an IE Frantabit, and it's INSANE how much this opens up using them. i loved the Franta before, just picked up the PS-6 today. i don't know how much i would have liked the PS-6 without this. i just giggle like a little grrL doing a two octave up slide shift with the Square Taper setting. it goes on/off on/off 16x from heel to toe, and it just makes this wacky but musical warble.
and the Franta is crazy good. but with this letting you set a sweep range for the ring mod side or the mix setting..... man. yeah. um. get one. i've been wanting an expression multiplier for YEARS, but never even thought of the different taper shapes.
lol. YOU CAN SET ONE PEDAL TO SWEEP UP WHILE THE OTHER SWEEPS DOWN. with one freaking heel to toe movement.
'm in the middle of moving stuff around on my board. LOVE this thing.

Yeah, the concept alone is super but the ability to change taper shapes makes it that much more badass! Thanks for the info.
I didn't have many pedals with expression until this year really, now shit's getting out of control. (Second Voice, Faye Sing, Tremolessence, Elements, Timeline, Space, FrantaBit)
It's time for a solution that doesn't involve having multiple expression pedals everywhere on the floor!

Opposing filters in one pedal.
I demand an explanation. Where did you find this magical madness?

well, you have three outputs, A, B & C. they can be on/off in any combination, and each has a selection of one of 5 different taper styles. Normal, Inverse, Anti-Log (helps with modded volume pedals), Saw and Step. Saw ramps up from 0-100 quick 16 times from heel to toe, Step goes 0 then 100 16 times from heel to toe.
SO, if you have A going Normal into a Frantabit's Mix setting and have B go into a Xerograph (or whatever ped) in Inverse, then as you go heel to toe it'll go from dry to full effect with the Franta while it does a reverse filter sweep (or whtaever) with the Xerograph.
crazy good. plus, you can set a range for the sweep for each channel, so i had it going from about the equivalent of 4 o'clock to 6 o'clock on the Bit Depth knob on the Franta and with the saw going through a 2 octave up sweep on the PS-6. it slowly changed the ring mod frequency and warbled through pitches, making weirdly beautiful overtones.
so awesome.
