Before I was fired from auntie anne's, I grabbed a bunch of icing, caramel, and coffee. I've been eating icing and caramel raw, and having awesome coffee since Friday.
It's been a good couple days, I guess.

YEAH IT WAS STRESSFUL BUT HEY I DID IT!!!
I just rewired both of my guitars.
Rewired my SG to 2 Humbukers, three way switch, master vol, and master tone switch
and my strat to Neck and middle, master volume.

Is the bridge still in there? Did you wire the 5 way so that the Neck is also connected to where the bridge would connect? What did you do with the other two holes?

No switch or bridge pickup. Just neck and middle in parallel > volume > out

Badass. I'm a crazy tone tweaker when I'm playing, so I couldn't do that (in fact, I usually have a bunch of knobs and switches and shit on my guitars), but I always think the whole "no switches" thing is badass.

I'm the exact opposite. I hate having a lot of knobs and switches. I like having master controls.

But, then how do you put your neck pickup's volume at half, and set it out of phase with the bridge when you need to?

I've actually never done that haha. I usually set my pickup selector in the middle on my SG so I can't really do swells unless I move both knobs. So this is a lot easier.

Currently, I don't have phase switches in my strat, but I intend on installing a setup that gives me individual volume/phase switches, and series/parallel switching for individual pup combinations. I constantly switch around my tone when I'm playing. I like being able to set my tone inbetween parts.
One knob would be death for me.

i almost never use the knobs on the guitar. i'm too uncoordinated for that shit...i can barely play and operate the pickup selector switch.

I adore complex switchings.
I've always wanted a system of playing that leaves average players baffled, and I'm pretty close to it. I play open C (so following my hands is a bitch), and my dream switching system looks fairly normal, but functions nothing like a standard guitar. I've been developing it since I was in highschool, but I haven't had the money to buy push/pull pots. And now that I've flipped my pups, my tone is just a little harder to get at. I really want to start building my own equipment, and then putting plastic covers over the knobs to make it that much more impossible.
I might even flip the pots, so that they work backwards, just to fuck with people.
