Maybe I should have done the covers too though.
When I have the extra cash I'm dropping $35 on the stupid trem arm that's actually meant to fit it. I'm done with breaking them.
Tuned to B or C standard and it's faaaaaaaantastic. Might have to put .11 Chromes back on it, but somehow the .10s seem to be handling everything okay.

Weirdo bridge too!
Man, even Teisco knew how to make the truss rod adjustment a little less annoying.
TIME TO STEP UP, ALMOST EVERY OTHER GUITAR MAKER.

I don't think that bridge is that weird. It's probably just stamped sheet metal. Or maybe it's cast.

Cheap? Yes.

Weird? No.

NGD! Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Deluxe

I NEED MORE INPUT ON THIS :poke: :poke: :poke:

This guitar is exactly what I wanted. Super good compliment to my Jazzmaster, similar neck feel and I didn't have to change any EQing on my amp or pedal board, it took to them both splendidly. It came set up almost perfectly out of the box, all I did was drop the saddles a bit to get my preferred action. Plays super smoothly. The pickups are better than I expected them to be, very defined, and chimey. Tneck pickup is pretty dark clean but shines when you add a little FUZZ . I'm still playing the 9's it came with but I imagine it will be even better when I bump up a guage or two.

amazing... i just don't think i'll decide to buy this over a Jag/JM, because i already do have a tele...

i know there's never enough of teles

btw not surprised those pups are good - these are the same Fender uses on a lot more expensive models i think

Those WRHB kick ass. Seriously, they rip so hard. I wish my Jazzcaster was routed for a WRHB so I could pop one in.

Fixed up one of my beaters today, dearmond soundhole pickup in the bridge, rips.
Massive hole from when I gut it out trying to put 4 pickups in it and fell on it...

Somebody post it on TPG or the Gretsch forum

Ok so it's one of those dodgy trade tang guitars from a chinese factory. Couple years ago I really wanted a hollow body bass VI and asked the chinese factory to make me one. I'm a sucker for surf green so I asked for it and they did it. Cost like 200 bucks shipped! They ended up sending me this normal scale guitar one and after bitching they sent me my real one for free. So effectively this was a free guitar. A free fake shit guitar so I've never really taken much care of it. The bass vi sold long ago as well.

I wanted to put two lipstick pickups and two filtertrons in it for some reason so thats what the big cutouts were for. I slipped and fell into the guitar though when I was making it

It's been sitting in a junk pile for a few years I always harvest the bits I need for other projects off it like the tuner. I had the dearmond pickup in my acoustic but I wanted to see if it would fit in the gretsch and it does and it's awesome.

The massive hole in it lets the sound resonate ridiculously, it sounds not great acoustic but with a magnetic pickup the shit is ridiculous, it sounds so mean and crappy and like evil blues or something it's pretty great actually, worked out well
