NAMM's not really about playing shit. It's about selling shit. :idk:

It's almost near impossible to really hear anything in there. The only real way to hear anything is through headphones.

More about selling concepts and supply for a lot of people there. Press usually just gives cards and gets a general impression. Some of the bigger companies have sound rooms.

Some companies still have bikini models and stuff.

They should have built a moat around their gear. That's how you sell stuff. Freaking amateurs.

Wouldn't do any good... too many bridges in the room.

Anyone seen the Ryan Adams / JHS collab pedal? I wonder if Ryan Adams knows about those clowns who've just put his name on the front of their new pedal? haha

:picard: Thanks guys. I can always count on you two for uniquely perplexing interpretations of seemingly uncomplicated sentiments. ----I mean: upload an audio clip to the internet. Not give me your best world-class exhibition in cerebral virtuosity within a crowded trade show center. I don't want to see it behind a glass case like it's a Fabergé artwork. I want to hear the fucking thing.

Yes, I know NAMM is a wash of disjointed sounds like an elementary school cafeteria. I know it's a corporatized event for schmoozing and ass-kissing, but the way to get people to buy audio equipment is through auditory examples. I just want someone to upload some sounds to the Web, so that I can hear the gear. Other builders provide audio examples of their stuff in advance or during the show. It makes no sense that such a practice isn't a more universal habit.

Now this is a welcome addition to the thread. Now we know the motor works and the LEDs are green, and Ruiner showed off some top-shelf cheese. :snax:

Think he's too baked at this point for that to register on his radar.

It actually could be more useful than I'm giving it credit for. Still cracks me up though.

Kinda sucks that you need to use it with another controller to really use it though.

Also, I imagine like the seaboard, you really will be limited by software at first.
Oh, totally, I just have no skills when it comes to actutally playing an instrument.
Right.

Anyway, Mellowtone will be at booth 6475283901 with his new reverb! :!!!:
I'd say my musical prowess is somewhere around your ability to spell 'actually', actually.
