Yeah, I have no idea why you would want to or need to cheat, if people try that's on them and they will have to live with it.

I have a hard time imagining people cheating here. Like, look at all the love on ILFSS, the family pricing in B/S/T, the general tone of the threads, even when it comes to issues of politics and stuff that is banned on other gear forums it's almost always a polite tone in the majority.

The exceptions are when scammy outsider trolls try to stir shit up and get their virtual ass handed to them, like the aescher dude or the "for the last time ill replie" dude

The list of people who got trolled out of ILF is quite substantial. All no1 rule breakers though.

I've looked at them too, but some amps around here are not crazy expensive that look to be in the same vein as the bugeras. Like a valveking, they usually go for real cheap. And some lucky scores for traynor or music man amps are possible on the clean side of things

Never tried a bugera though, I'm perfectly happy with my solid state Randall thingy

I've been gigging a Bugera 1960 for 4 years now, with nary an issue. As far as:

i have no idea why you'd even go near a bugera with the prices people have in the US on other stuff.

meh. I haven't found any 100+ watt all-tube amps that I would consider "cheap", at least not on the level of pricing that Bugera sits in.

The V55 is a fucking killer amp.

I dunno what it's based on, but it's great.

And BCBC always makes me gas for the 1960. Gonna buy one eventually.

I always assumed the V55 was a Bassman clone, with the 2 6L6 tubes and the same basic controls.

Pretty sure we talked about the valve King a while back in the doom room.
I've owned one and good sounds can be wrangled, but I had reliability issues out of the box with mine. I had an amp tech I used to take all my gear to who basically said 90% of modern amps that are massed produced are chock full of dry joints and inconsistencies and will fail on a long enough time line. Even the expensive ones.
There are some mods you can do in the valve King to pretty up the clean channel as well, which is always good for those of us who fuzz box 24/7.

But, all that is for another thread.

The reason that guy got ejected was because he was basically ridiculous about most things and had the mental capacity of a teenager that just found a music scene that gave them some 'edge' factor they could laud rover everyone else.
Which is contra indicative of rule No.1.
