Thanks, LG, I was just trying to find the best spot for it in the chain and I put it right after a pedal with a buffer and it was acting all weird. Blend knob fully CW practically cancelled the signal out. The other two knobs did nothing. Very strange behavior.

Just tried it with three buffered pedals of different quality/eras...didn't notice anything other than some maybe ducking? But I think I was just nitpicking/trying to find something. Do you think there was a chance that you were low voltaging/starving it?
I have noticed that sometimes the harmonics just aren't there for it's mojo to start going...and sometimes it sounds better than others. Just ran the Arion SAD-1 before it for the first time! Sounded great!

I think this's exactly what happened. I just flipped the power supply over and some of the DIP switches were messed up. Thank you.

Still trying to get that LG sound back...tomorrow I might go and get out the old EHX FA and Boss MT-2...
I think I captured some alright sounds....still don't remember all the weird not-guitar things I used to do with a guitar...want to say it had more rubbing, hitting, and selective muting...but can't for the life of me do it anymore...going to get there haha.
Glad I could help Chankgeez!

The Jr. is way different (the current one)...it has way less cut and way less range. It is more in line with the EHX FA or the Heavy Saturn or something. It is a good blender for leads and stuff though...darker and quieter + no extreme tremolo action that the old SPK has...but it does have a blend which the old one does not (gotta use the direct out and the rm out to get a blend).
I've had a hard time getting to know the SPK2 though. I dunno...it is just more tame. The volume and bite of the the older one (the one above) is a blast!
I'll try to work something better up for the SPK2 than I already have...UG has both, as did Kayser (and I) so those might be worth checking out to compare.
I think Eivind has eternal dibs of the samurai on the first old SPK to come up haha.

jf you want new...if you buy direct from Hirofumi and are located in usa you'll benefit from the exchange rate
pretty sure it always winds up being cheaper than buying new from perfect circuit at their discounts, plus you're directly supporting the builder

Yup, the best advice. Hirofumi's is really awesome to deal with on top of that.

Wha the hell is shipping from Australia to the states even? (Un)Fortunately, the Sandstorm and the 46 are temporarily out of stock. Might have to hold myself over by making a Rattle Crow clone now that the schematic has found its way online.

He charges like 20 or 25 AUD flat I think...and if there is anything left over he will refund it (like if you order 2 pedals, it will add shipping twice...just just refunds whatever else is left over because it is cheaper to combine). Pretty cheap really.

pretty sure even with shipping its still cheaper buying direct than from perfect circuit

plus he seems like a really great guy and is a real pleasure to deal with..great communication/fast with getting the pedal shipped etc. although in my experience shipping from AUS always takes longer than from maybe any other country? maybe recent russian purchase took longer but yeah, it takes a while, but he's quick with getting the order shipped at least.
any word on the new pedlols?

international shipping is usually insane. I think the shipping on the gjengangar I bought was over 40 bucks usd!!
