The Satanic Verses! Dude it has been so long since I've read me some Rushdie, maybe I should get back to that dude.

@futuresails - I don't really know what you're saying, but I love the 100% perfect girl story.

Just that they seemed similar, so he might have used it as a jumping off point for 1Q84. Or at least incorporated it.

I don't know. Book's good. Story's good. That is all.

Resuscitation of a hanged man...kindle didn't have it, had to go digging through a used bookstore. Any excuse is a good excuse to go book shopping!

I just started reading "The Great Gatsby" for A.P. American English. It's even more pretentious than "The importance of being Earnest."

I just finished Michael Crichton's The Andromeda Strain. Like all Crichton books, I was eager to finish it after the first couple pages. I did nothing for 3 days(except work and masturbate) just reading that book and researching facts in it that intrigued me.

Totally agree with your conclusions, BUT:

http://www.amazon.com/Resuscitation-Han ... 773&sr=8-2

Sometimes you can find stuff on the website easier than on the actual device...

Anywho... I'm thinking I'm gonna start reading some classics that I never read when I was younger. Tolkien and the like.

Reading "The Bear" by R.A. Salvatore. The series isn't serious literature or anything, but they're enjoyable, and they're very quick reads. I've read books 2 and 3 already this week, and I'll probably be done with this one by Sunday.

Butbutbut it wasn't there when I looked...it even had the "tell the author..." link. Oh well, it's one of those books I liked enough to buy a physical copy anyways. Tolkien is a great read btw

I'm pretty sure the John Carter movie will be bad, but I'm getting ready to dig into the audiobooks first anyway. Just downloaded the whole series, along with a nice batch of other essential ERB (complete Tarzan, Lost World, & Pellucidar series).

George R.R. Martin's Dreamsongs is pretty good, I'm about halfway through it. It's basically a collection of his short stories from throughout his career, with autobiographical chapters in between key turning points. Sandkings was pretty awesome, my favorite of the collection so far.
