She started playing Elvis Costello's "Radio Radio" then stopped and said, "There's no reason for us to be playing this song" and went into hers.
Except it would be better if she DID play Radio Radio, and it wasn't very funny.

Love her guitar though.
For once I'm quite happy I know enough for this exam? It's disconcerting.

Oh, it's funny if you catch the reference.

I do get it, but I still didn't find it that funny. It did make me smile though, and made me more ready to listen to her music properly because of the sweet reference.

If you need any more incentive, look up her cover of Kerosene.

I have no idea what the original of that is, but I have been listening to St. Vincent today and had never heard about her before, so thanks for the rec!
EDIT OK so I just listened to the original and then the cover, and I'm very impressed.

My favorite was when the Beastie Boys covered Radio Radio with Elvis Costello.

I LOVE ST. VINCENT SO MUCH NOW.

I especially love how different the 2 songs we posted are and how they're both really great.
And she's playing in london next month

. So sick of bands not playing anywhere in the north of england.

Yah, you think she's just cutesy indie-pop, but she totally knows how to melt face.

Got a day to just be a lazy stoner for a while. Haven't had one of those in a length of time. It's back to business tomorrow though.
In other news my own band I'm starting might have a chance to get going while another group contacted me who I had talked to a while ago before they took some kind of break.
Also, wings and garlic bread in the oven with keep cookie cake for dessert.

Speaking of wings and garlic bread
I got to eat more than 350 callories in a day for the first time in a week today

(350 wasn't by choice, I ran out of money HARD)
