seriously, the case that came with the Eastman is also remarkable..i'm accustomed to $50-60 cases from Rondo, Musicians Friend, or the local buy/sell, and by comparison this is a Cadillac of cases. the padding is so well-fitted you have to work a bit to get the guitar in and out of the case, and the latches are so much stouter than typical that you'd need a BIG screwdriver to bust them off. my roommate pointed out that since it's a $150 case easy and it came with the guitar for free i actually got the guitar for $600. and Martin cases are like a fucking VAULT.

Your guitar was doing the dude with the big nose from Digital Underground?
Oakland, we have a problem.
Also, you associate Oakland with Digital Underground?
I associate Oakland with Rollie Fingers.
Anyway you wanna look at it, I hope you enjoy your new guitar.

I have many free-association hits for Oakland...DU was the best one for a joke at that hour of the AM. i was way too sleepy for a John Madden reference.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. DU is best for that hour of the morning.

I started messing around with the ADSR function on my VL-tone...I had no idea a calculator could make this kind of noise.

My PS2 has started oscillating. By my count, 9+ tones can get going.

I've been dieing to crank up my half stack with the new pedals and p'ups for about a week, but there's always been someone in the house. I finally just got a solid hour and a half of playing, and everything sounds amazing! (apart from the buzzing in my cab but whatevs, just bees)
I don't know why I didn't change the p'ups in my Schecter a long time ago. It's sounds like a brand new guitar. So much more crisp then those Duncan Designed pieces of poopy.
Then I plugged in the jazzy with the bari strings in CCGCGC, turned on the velcroar, and started coming up with some of the gnarliest, sludgey/stoner metal riffs ever.

She started playing Elvis Costello's "Radio Radio" then stopped and said, "There's no reason for us to be playing this song" and went into hers.

my cat has been dispensing massive amounts of incredible adorableness around my house the last few days. he's finally gotten used to having Dan here, and so he's been behaving as he used to do, sleeping in front of the heater for hours at a time and curling up on my lap while i'm on the computer and purring, burbling and making all sorts of charming kitty sounds. he and the new guitar have combined to make the last few days much more bearable than they'd otherwise have been...he's got a dog-like radar sense for when i'm feeling miserable and comes to cheer me up when i'm mopey, and the Eastman makes me happy every time i play three chords on it.
