So people who have an Echo Modulator, how the fuck do you use it? This pedal is pretty much total insanity. The dry kill switch is something.

I've been using it a lot. I'm really in love with the fuzzed out tones it can get. It's great for rhythmic lines, or melodic lines that have a lot of texture. Very versatile pedal.

Is nine days a necro? Let's keep the ritual...erm...suicide? alive? alive. alive!

So anyway, I remember having a brief rush of Seppuku FX GAS back in, say 2008/2009 involving the Mind Warp and maybe the Digital Pitch Modulator, but I anolgeeked out and fell asleep at the switch, and now I awake and discover, oh stupid Dando. Stupid, bad, evil Dando!

Anyway, I've got it bad for these stuffis, and I'm trying to figure out what to focus my gearlust on primarily like.

Lurve the Digitizer, but understand that's a total hen's tooth.

Probz should just engineer a time warp and send my next paycheck back to today so I can buy Strange Tales' Ecco Modulator from the b/s/t before he comes to his senses, but...yeah.

Digital/IC Water will conquer me eventually, but see above re: time warp.

I do have a question, though?

Can someone describe for me the differences between the Memory Loss and Ecco Modulator?

Rhys' demo of the Memory Loss has got me in a right lather, but the descriptions I've found haven't brought me any clarity. Can the Ecco Modulator get the crackly/rustly glitch artifacting that the Memory Loss does (to my ears, and again most evident to me in Rhys' demo), or is some degree of pitch-varying warble factor more the focus, kind've like a Pitch Pirate DLX Supreme Maxxed?

Thanks!

Memory Loss and Ecco Modulator are worlds apart. Memory Loss does that weird crackly stuff that if your signal gets hot enough will cause the pedal to constantly turn off/on. Might be my favorite Seppuku pedal altogether for the sounds it conjures.

Ecco Modulator... is weird. It makes weird wavy sounds. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever just used the pedal by itself, woops.

I am still going to get your ecco modulator (at least try, if only I could actually sell something)...if you only offered layaway...haha.

I would say that the Memory Loss is a wet-mixed take on a normal delay. The artifacts and stuff are almost like information is lost due to overloading the system. It is neat for call and responce and normal delay stuff. From what I can tell, the EC is more atmospheric and droney; something totally different even though they may be based in the same realm.

Ah that was my bad, I didn't know if you really wanted to do that or not. I would've definitely put it on hold if you wanted me to

Ah it sold? Oh well. My bad. haha. I'll get one eventually. No worries bud, I just thought it was still around (I don't make people hold things cause it sucks for the seller).

It's all good...I should actually just learn to use my Memory Loss and Kompakt Kassette before moving to the big leagues haha. Dibs on the flip from whoever gets it...

It was on hold and then I never heard from the guy, so I put it off hold, and now it's on hold with Dandolin until he buys it or raids my house for it while I sleep.

I don't mind holding things if I'm not in immediate need of cash, so feel free to let me know next time :)*

Dandolin will give it a good home. I'll just wait for my DLFO and see what happens with the stuff in NZ. Might get one of the new cool lookin' ones.

I still want to hear what UC pulls off with that Junktone. That's the one I am most bummed to miss.

I didn't even know the Junktone existed, and now I'm sad I missed it as well. I guess if it's in the name of UC having the complete Seppuku collection though, it's fair it goes to him haha. New DLFO does look pretty sweet, but I think for the price of it I would just feel better off getting a Warped Vinyl II.
