Can you get some vintage flanger sound out of the Starlight DLX (ROSS Flanger type) or it's more modern sounding all the time?

HOLY SHIT I was made aware my fiance got me a Starlight Deluxe for Xmas, talked to Brian all on her own and ordered without me knowing! I had no clue but I saw the box show up the other day and ruined the surprise haha! Sadly, she won't let me mess with it much until Xmas but I got a couple hours with it.

Dudes, it's incredible! I actually had to spend some quality time reading the manual which is unusual but I've never had a Subdecay DLX and it's packed with controls, pretty similar to the Prometheus I think...

Anyway, I honestly think it will pull off most any flange sound the world has ever known and then some (minus the zero thru). It's looks killer too, box calls the finish chrome but it's not mirror, more hazy/brushed look, I love that! Oh, and I got serial # 2 which is kinda cool.

Here it is before she took it away and put it up until Xmas....

Damn, that looks crazy versatile.

Dudes, the good ones are hard to find. I totally lucked out!

That said, I'll look into cloning her asap, sell some clones to replenish my gear fund.
