Claude Giroux is the Ryan Gosling of hockey; it's almost impossible to dislike him. He's disarming, but he's also good. He's nonthreatening, but he can also stomp your head in an elevator. I'm not sure what the Ryan Gosling equivalent of his Day-Glo orange beard is, but I'll come up with something. Ryan Gosling saves annoying ladies from being hit by cabs. Claude Giroux tells his coach he'd like to play the first shift, please, so he can send a message; then he tells his teammates to watch this; then he levels Sidney Crosby; then he creates his own scoring chance; then he scores, and it's only 32 seconds into the game. A real human being, and a real hero …)

The Caps took down the Boohooins last night,....the result of that the Flyers do not have to face the Rags; who they went 0-6 against during the regular season, in the semifinals. Turning into the year of the underdog.

If I'm honest though,...I don't think there is any easy team to beat in the Playoffs and it would be a disservice for the Flyers to take any team they face in the semis for granted.

None of those match ups get me overly excited. Is Devils/Flyers much of a rivalry?

The Rivalry between the Flyers and the Devils isn't really a heated one. Travel will be easy though. I don't think Broduer can handle the Flyers offense,...I'm not sure how good the Devils defense is.

The Flyers need to continue the team D they showed in Game 6 of the quarters. They blocked 40 shots in game 6 and Ilya stop 30 out of 31 shots. That said I don't think the Devils offense is as talented as the Penguins. It's also worth noting that Grossmann and Meszaros are both skating at practice,...at last check in a no contact capacity,...so those are two good blueliners that could find their way back into the lineup sometime during the Semis.

I'm hoping that the Flyers can continue their opportunistic special teams. I think their PP was over 50% in the Quarter Finals.
