I just noticed the fretboard on that bass. Did you leave it on the dashboard of your car all summer or did the builder trip on acid when they were building it? Either way, that thing looks fucking awesome. How does it play?
Haha...thats the Novax fanned fret system at work there. It plays beautifully, seriously the most comfortable bass I've owned. Gives you the benefit of having a 35" b string while keeping your d and g strings at a sweeter speaking length for a more even tone across the instrument.
you ditched the barefaced?

Yeah, i wanted a bit more upper mids and treble presence and this was just a little heavier, a similar price and of similar volume capabilities, so it was an easy choice.

Get one. It rules so hard with everything I've plugged into it, and everything I've plugged it into.
Are the demos on Youtube any indication to how it sounds?

Picked this guy up last weekend. Sounds awesome through my Carlsbro 4x12 and has a great eq section. Surprisingly loud too!

:-)
so you bought it! I was also interested in this head but let it go cause i bought a new bass and was afraid that the klipp might not be loud enough.
And is it loud enough for heavy sub-bass-stuff with loud band?
(off topic, next week saturday, great free concerts in gent! (for the belgium dudes) info here:

Bought a new amp. Had my eye on these awhile now, each one is spec'd slightly different, $625 shipped. Just got the fatty tax return, finally said fuck it. Thanks to our former ilf bro SPACERITUAL for bringing it to my attention via FB.
Hovercraft Dwarvenaut 20W. 2xEL84, sounds thick as shit, described as a Sunn Model T hi gain circuit mashed with some Matamp for good measure. This particular build is closest to the one featured in youtube demo below but has an added FAC control for more flexibility. Controls on the front include gain/bass/mid/treble/master/HF drive.
Can't wait to check this one out!

It's bright. And loud. Like, way fucking loud.
Wow! Like a pic from the top of Mount Volume. Very nice score sir.

It really does. I've never heard a 20 watter bring forth the thick heaviness quite like these do, about time someone scaled down that Matamp/Orange OR tone in a smaller package. I've heard they can easily give 50W amps a run for their money, just HUGE sounding!
It'll be here on Tuesday so we'll see....

You're the buyer that backed out I guess? If so, you backed out on my birthday so that was a nice present of you!
I'm using it for guitar, but I've read somewhere that it doesn't really have the power to use it as a bass amp in a loud band. If I can find a bass cab for it I can definitely try it out at one of our rehearsals (we definitely qualify as a loud band).
Even before opening the link I knew what it was going to be! Don't know if I'll be able to go though.

Amp's currently dead but Blowing Up the speaker sounds pretty much the same anyway (like butt).
Wowza.

Got the speaker installed in my new cab today.
Delta 12LFC, 4 ohms, 500w. Completely overkill, but I like knowing there is no way I can blow the speaker.
It sounds fucking MASSIVE in this new cab with the Traynor. It honestly puts the Verellen to shame in the low end department
Going to be doing some recordings with both cabs today. Stoked!
