Out of nowhere I just realized something.
The generic enemy "Galsia" from Streets of Rage 2 is prolly supposed to be "Garcia", but because of Japan and translations...yeah.
I always pronounced it like "Galzha" but...

is anyone else old enough to remember a pc game called star control ii from the early 90s? that game was the shit. they did a third later on and it blew.
star control ii was all about the storyline and it was awesome. a few years ago i even installed it on my pc in all it's vga glory and wiped it out in a couple days. back yonder it took me a whole summer.

sounds like star control ii might be an early pre-evolution of the way mass effect works.
storyline to ME1 I can say is like god tier sci-fi channel stuff, story in ME2 gets kinda wonky but still good, ME3 I haven't touched cause fuck Origin. (though I think it's on steam now, so maybe)

definitely give ME1 one a shot, I've yet to meet someone who digs storylines, character development, and/or choices in games that disliked it. ME2 is obviously the next step after that, it's definitely worth checking out too. Can't speak for ME3

ME1/ME2 are on sale on steam several times a year, might wanna wait for it. I picked them both up for like $10 or something stupid like that.

Just play the OG game, it's still fine with bugfixes and such. And yeah, totes agree, I think I'm going to start an entire trilogy playthrough soon, they're some of the best games ever.
