One year anniversary! People keep comparing it to Sigur Rós and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, so check it out if you're into that stuff. I still have tapes left, and one t-shirt.VREEEEVROOOOOW wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 7:07 pm Hi everybody. I have a new band with a new album, and I worked really hard on it, and I hope that someone likes it. Here: https://salmeboka.bandcamp.com/album/jonategnet
You can follow the band around here: https://linktr.ee/salmeboka
It's also on every streaming service etc.
I have been told it sounds like This Will Destroy You, Sigur Rós, and Human Hands, so FFO those bands. More accurately I suppose it's for fans of a shit tonne of distortion and reverb, and almost inaudible vocals.![]()

Re: Let's hear your music!
This one perhaps requires a brief explanation. Given the opportunity to pull together something as a fill-in for a late set at my fave spot, this took inspiration from the show that was immediately before it, a new residency featuring both a trivia quiz and experimental music. Idea: why not combine them? So: this set offered the musicians a series of trivia questions, and their goal was to "answer" them through brief performances (timed to a five-minute hourglass). I brought cassettes/cassette tape loops plus my trusty mini kaossilator (plus a bit of contact mic'd ukulele).

Hey everyone! Ya boi still lurks.
My band put out another EP, can't remember if I ever shared the first one, but heres number two and if you like it, the first one is there too!

Used a bunch of things on the recording. Current Phantoms rig is more streamlined to cover both EP sounds these days, but it was a fun time trying everything for these songs.
Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyy~

Thanks for sharing, I really like this. I hope this comes across as a compliment and not the weird egotistical ravings of a madwoman, but listening to this makes me instantly want to both play bass on it and record/mix it. It's just really clicking in my brain and engaging something, nice tunes

Aw that's huge compliment, thank you so much! Funny you mention it, we are looking for a full time bassist if you happen to be based in the bay....Kacey Y wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 10:38 amBitchPudding wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 7:50 pm Hey everyone! Ya boi still lurks.![]()

Our other guitarist is way too good to stay on bass. Even if he is S U P E R C R A C K E D at it.

No, unfortunately, I'm in Pittsburgh (the PA one lol). I'm from the central coast originally and went to art school in SF, but I moved out of California like 8 years agoBitchPudding wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 2:48 pm Aw that's huge compliment, thank you so much! I've recently got a new drone/ambient track done. Mostly modular stuff with a touch of Bitwig magic: https://cscd.bandcamp.com/track/the-fam ... ingle-2025
Cyborg See Cyborg Do (ambient, drone, soundtrack-style)
Sandbite (electronic noisepop/shoegaze/whatever)
CHERNØBØG (industrial techno, rhythmic noise and stuff)

Re: Let's hear your music!
that was good. i need to hear it on better speakers, though…the phone speaker really doesn’t do low end at all.

Yeah, I think it's nice! Not much going on in terms of low end, actually. But the ethereal mids are very pretty. The subtle melodic synths underneath the more droning bit are great!

New EP, full dystopian mode for 2025. Lots of pedals, noise, and modular sounds throughout.
