POTENTIAL new guitar. the guy offered it to me, and I'm on the fence, but it sure is pretty...It's a 90s Squier Bordello thin line telecaster.

right? he said Bordello Thinline Squier and I was like idk man. but the story behind that line is pretty cool. only lasted a few years, because it's believed they were too good for that price range and Fender was losing money off the MIM line. but the dude sent me a pic and i was like "oh fuck i think I want a squier"

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Here's a couple of my mine:

The one on the left is my fave: an old Kawai from back in the 70s I guess. Has an amazing sound though. Big, warm, and full. I was a bit bummed out by the hole left in it when I took the original trem out to install the bigsby. But once I experienced the results, I never looked back.
Infact having that hole there actually makes changing the strings a little less fidgety. If I ever find another one of these for sale, I'm definitely buying it.
The Gretsch, nice guitar, but being an electromatic, it's still got the shitty stock pickups it came with whihc are the main issue with this guitar. I'm trying to decide on what pickups to put into this one to make it do what I want it to do. At this stage it's a three way tie between some filtertrons, powertrons, or some sort of P90.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
New guitar day (yesterday)! Squier Cyclone. I wanted Lake Placid blue, but it's sold out until November. For $148, I wasn't going to pass it up. I had no black guitars, so black was the color.
Here are some pics that I posted at diysb, too:

The knobs were junk, so I swapped them out:

A strange paint line on the neck pocket...

...piqued my curiosity, so I took the whole thing apart, and found this paint chip, which appears to have come off the inside near where the bridge screws come through.

Looks like the guitar was originally surf green, then painted white (primer?), and then painted black. Under a bright white light, the black appears to be dark green.
I'm going to do a review in the next couple of days, but overall, it's not bad.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
My bandmate has one of those Cyclones. I was surprised how weighty it was... not in a bad way. But it was quite a bit heavier than my Fender Duo Sonic reissue, which makes it feel less like a toy. Very well built guitar I thought. That black looks super sexy.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
pretty stoked on my quiver...the brown EJ might get a new set of pickups just for variety's sake, but otherwise...I'm set. Always want more, but guitar gas is pretty minimal right now.
Maybe partying will help.

I'd say I'm good for the next 15 minutes at least.
next string thinger is one of those Eastwood Warren Ellis tenors...then...???
After having up to 10 guits, I know that the number of quality guits I have right now is optimal. Much more than that, and most will just stay in their cases for months and months at a time.

I approve.
If you buy me one of those Eastwood mandolas while you're at it, I'll move to Texas and join your electric string band.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
I have poor impulse control:

Supposedly all original '69, I'll be taking the neck and pickguard off tonight to check (bought at a major store, so no problems returning it if it isn't as advertised).
