Yeah there's no way that auction is ending anywhere near $50. Wouldn't be surprised if those same pickups pop up on ebay within a week for $150 each or whatever they go for.

I agree. I know guys that love those pickups in modernish guitars though… personally I don't… like gold foils… they are ok for blues and acoustic stuff I guess but I find them un bouncy and dry sounding in non old kooky guitars.

I love old kooky guitars. Non old kooky guitars, not as much.

They're also making modern replicas of gold foils now. So, there's kinda no excuse.

True, the Lollar ones are sickeningly accurate and they cost more than a original one so they have more "value"… whatever...
