White Stripes are okay. I was never really crazy about them or the garage rock revival thing. It could benefit from being noisier. Save your controlled fuzz for...I dunno, something else.
Getting tired of doom as well. There are some bands that really stand out, but for the most part the BWOOONNNNNNNN.....BWOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN...bores me after a few songs. I can only say "man that's fucking heavy" so many times before the enthusiasm disappears.
I'm so bored with music and gear and stuff, no desire to practice or play along to anything.
Getting tired of doom as well. There are some bands that really stand out, but for the most part the BWOOONNNNNNNN.....BWOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN...bores me after a few songs. I can only say "man that's fucking heavy" so many times before the enthusiasm disappears.

This is my big hangup with doom, also. I tend to favor the uptempo stuff with cool riffs, as opposed to here's a freakin' heavy chord... okay now here's another freakin' heavy chord.
Maybe that puts me more into stoner rock.

It's not a matter of being good or bad. It's a matter of being able to follow Jack White's crazy ass with minimal direction. Live, they never played with predetermined set lists, they just kinda played and saw where it took them.

No doubt, I probably can too and I'm not saying she's good, but I feel like everyone who criticises her for it is kind of missing the point. She plays, keeps a beat going for whatever Jack White is doing and follows him, and the result sounds good.
