Neal gets one game for the hit on Giroux, hit on Coots is waved off as he was 'bracing himself for unintended hit'. Asham got 4 games. The amusing part in the summary bit of the videos is that both list Match Penalty, No Injury, but Asham is not a repeat offender while Neal has been suspended once, fined and warned twice.

That part actually surprised me about Asham. I don't recall him ever being suspend as a Flyer,....but surely he has been as a Devil,...or a Pen. Guess I was wrong.

He's a physical player. I've heard some refer to him as a goon. But apparently he isn't dirty,...save for the high hit on Schenn.

were those even the same teams?

Also, Torres indefinitely suspended after face shattering hit on Hossa. This isn't the first time Torres has been involved in these types of shenanigans. and I've never known Hossa to do anything to warrant such a massive hit. Then again, Torres is the definition of a head hunting goon. Hopefully the Hawks can come back and shove it up his ass with a win....and hopefully Torres gets kicked out the league.

I was pretty much expecting the Pens to win game 4,...but to put up a 10 spot? I stopped watching after the Sullivan PP goal put the Pens up by 4 (7-3 at that point).

Hopefully the Pens have blown their load. This series is still up in the air as far as I'm concerned.

I still have little confidence in Flyers goaltending.

Yeah, Bob didn't exactly inspire any confidence with his performance.

An interesting take in the Talkbass NHL Playoffs thread with regards to the Grossman injury.

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f34/offic ... st12516268

My knee jerk reaction is to call the Pens cheap. I hope that they aren't intentionally trying to hurt our players. I hesitate to call Grossmann a number 1 Blueliner. He's definitely steadied the defense since his arrival from Dallas.

I really don't know what to think cause I can't be bothered to rewatch that game.

whoo now we have us some playoff hockey. Flower won us that one, the flyers dominated the 3rd in possession time and shots on goal, but Fleury turned on his ninja mode:

The Wings are out...I am a little disappointed. I'm hoping the Sharks and the Bruins can move on to the next round, but things look bleak for San Jose.

Malkin has clearly shown the entire NHL that he is the dirtiest player in the league. They won't suspend him because Shanahan is a fucking inconsistent figure head for the NHL. You know he has pressure to not take out important stars. I still can't believe that Weber wasn't suspended, then next game he gets two goals and now red wings are done. GJ.

Consistent 30 save nights are what Bryz needs.

I'm not gonna lie,...I have 0 respect for Geno. Chickenshit. Fuck that guy.

They won game 5 on the stretch pass and the Flyers put an end to that in Game 6.

I could see the coaches involvement in this series,....I'm having a tough time describing; it was very methodical on both sides. Making adjustments,....responding to shifts in the other coaches strategy. That was a very entertaining series. I give props to Staal and Letang.

if there's anyone living in Vancouver, you might not wanna leave your house tonight. if they riot when they lose in the finals, i can only imagine what happens when they lose in the 1st round to the 8th seed.

I'm happy for Flyers West.
