Every few months, my gas for a Z.Vex Ringtone is rekindled. Such a cool pedal, I see alot of potential in there. Too bad they're expensive as fuck.

If you don't want to spring for a Pitchfactor of H9 and just want diatonic pitch, I find the Boss PS-5 doesn't do significantly, if at all, worse at that than my Digitech and Eventide rack harmonizers. It's brilliant at the few things it does. Can't say how those things play in the Super Ego loop, though.

Yeah I've had a PS5 and I kinda liked it. I just had in my mind the sound of processing drones with really slow pitch bends, which doesn't seem possible with the Ring Thing (maybe with an expression pedal?). The Ring Thing seems so cool because it can do so much.

Yea, I've seen them for years but can't ever justify the price...I remember wanting one really bad for a long time.

Speaking of sequence things...been kind of wanting a MuRF...but I don't know why. Really want an OP-1...gotta wait for the good stuff though.

I've had an op1 for a few months and it's really cool I don't use it as much as I thought though, gotta force myself to be less of a luddite I guess

it's hard to say because it is my first synth/drum machine/whatever of any sort
so a bit of a learning curve for me but it feels like it would have been a much bigger curve if i had gone with something else, so i am glad i went with something so intuitive

I don't even really play my guitar (the bass at least is getting used though not for live stuff) but I really, really want to get a Warren Ellis tenor guitar. Which might suit me better than the Jaguar because it has less strings...
