Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
It rips. Everything I wanted the Ghost Echo to be, honestly. Can go from splashy to drone with the dwell knob, and the Terror feedback cascade is... monumental.
I’ll do up some clips over the next few days...

Well, goddamn. If I had three dicks they'd all be hard.fever606 wrote:It rips. Everything I wanted the Ghost Echo to be, honestly. Can go from splashy to drone with the dwell knob, and the Terror feedback cascade is... monumental.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Also, Just spent 3 days in the studio working on a new album. Everything but the vocals are done for 2 songs. I feel like this is the first time I have ever gotten the tone of my band playing live to come out of the speakers. Feels good. Here is a link to a video https://www.instagram.com/p/BZowHCSgxnN ... adhanddoom For you gear nerds who care, left guitar = Tele , Haymaker, Pharaoh, Fender Dual Showman, Atlas 6x12. Right guitar LP, witchburner, Pharaoh, JMP, Emperor 4x12. Bass Gibson, Mesa 400+, Hartke 4x10. Ludwig, Paiste, Microsynth and a bunch of drone synth stuff in there, too.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
The only changes from Ian's version would be an internal trimmer to adjust the Terror mode osc/noise build up. Setting that to max would make it fast and quick to go insane. At lower settings it should build slowly.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I got a Matamp GT120 about 2 hours after I left for north Ga to record a new album and it's been here waiting on me ever since. I finally got home today and even though I've only spent about 10 minutes with it I love it so far. I'm already familiar with the Matamp tone since I owned a GTO before but this is my first time owning an amp with a bax eq. In this video I dialed in a tone that is between the cleans of my old GTO and the JMP in the video. Haven't dicked around with the Pharaoh's settings or any of my other dirt pedals yet. This thing is loud as fuck.

Daaaaaam.
Matamp with a fuzz destroying it is the best tone - magical. Still kicking myself years later for not picking up the GTRetro I tried out (2 tube version of the GT120). Such a killer tone.
Haven't posted in forever but my gear updates are getting a mid sized pedalboard, had a PT pro at home and that was way too big, had a JR and that was great but just a little too small, now on a Flex Reaction Earth 55 board and it's big enough to have all the pedals I need plus an extra fuzz sound plus one pedal I never use.
I also picked up a used Rivera attenuator that has some minor tone shaping for the attenuated sound and a direct out for recording. I'm not really in a spot where I can mic up a cab at full volume so I'm going to experiment with recording through a virtual cabinet and microphone. Should be fun.

Got to see Khemmis yesterday and drink a bunch of beer while doing it. Cracked my ribs in the pit, so now I gotta take it easy for a while, lol. Getting old rules!

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I'm trying to get some deep droney tones (think Sunn O, burning witch, heavier Boris) and with my current setup in drop B my bassier notes tend to get muffled sounding (poor articulation, almost phased) I'm playing through a carvin X100B into a old large bassman 2x12 cab with 2 Eminence Maverick speakers. Tried both a Rat and a big muff and different pedal combos. Do you think it's the speakers or where would you start to correct this?
