Good lord! There's enough Harry Joyce there to put someone through college. (Not to mention the other goodies.)

A/B'ed my friend's late-90s Recto (on left) against my '94 yesterday. They both sounded pretty dang good in their own ways. The cab on the right has vintage greenbacks, so that one dealt the mids versus the sizzle and thump of some V30s in the other one.

I wish. That's just some random google-image screengrab I employed as an example.

"Don’t be fooled by others claiming to be a Harry Joyce. Buy from the Authentic, U.S. manufacturer and you will see and hear the true sound of the legendary Harry Joyce brand."
But Harry Joyce was British...if that matters.
Then there's Hi-Tone who have Dave Reeves and Mark Huss involved which gives them a sense of legitimacy.
Then there's the actual Hiwatt brand owned by JMI who I wouldn't go near....

And Reeves, which is/was run by one of Dave's sons if memory serves...

I just assumed it was Hiwatt's but with custom plates. didn't think it was one of the builders. that's cool I didn't even know.
Do know Hi-Tone and Reeves.
none overall have honestly peaked my interest. I always see hiwatts and the likes used for a pedal platform.

You forgot molecule-rearranging loudness.

well loudness was there but never in the same breath is the talk of their crush/distortion.
i'm not a pedal guy. I'm an amp guy and if all it does is clean volume or a little tiny bit of tube distortion I'm not interested.

No crushing distortion. Very true.

DUAL ATLAS FTW!!! We're like twins.
I just gotta get some black grill cloth and new speakers to replace the Sheffields that Matt robbed out of his 5150. The other is full of 55hz Reapers. Thinking of filling this one up with ET65s since there are already two of them in there.
