You don't make coffee with that hot of water.
cherler wrote:If the water is too hot when you brew the coffee it's gonna taste like ass anyway
Have you guys never made coffee? Coffee brews at about 190 degrees
Do you know that water evaporates at 212 degrees?
(Actually even worse this was in Albuquerque NM anyways, where the boiling temp is 202 degrees)
I'm going off the INCREDIBLY accurate science of tastes good and doesn't hurt my face when I drink it...although 190 does sound close to right. I just don't drink it immediately or pour it on my genitals usually.
Edit: Which actually begs the question why they're storing it at the temp for brewing not drinking? If that's even what they're doing?

Home coffee makers only get to about 140. If you ever worked in a restaurant you've probably put your hands into 120 water. It's not fun but you're not losing skin.

So I guess we can expect some $100 Metal Zones in the classifieds soon? I mean if they sound exactly like the Mantic, you would be doing all of us a favor! And you get to do "business"!

Doesn't he supposedly still have the full Lovetone collection stashed away at his parents' house?
Manny, I offer you 5$/pedal for the whole set.

Well my brown water tastes great and feels great all over my body.
I actually just realized I could use the thermocouple that came with my meter to do some science here...

I bet a metal zone would survive hot coffee and a mantic vitriol wouldn't

This.
Unless that Vitriol is one of those pedals you never see at a lower price new or used, the strymon/ct5 effect.
Fair enough. OK, the comparison should be between a $22 dollar pedal and a $170 dollar pedal. $170 is what I got when I sold the 2nd of my two Mantics. It's actually one of the very few boutiques that kept a lot of its value. I regularly sell other boutiques for 1/3 to a little under 1/2 of the new price,, despite the "pump and dump" accusation made by my everloving TB fan club.
Right - you never started a thread/club regarding the recently discontinued Mr. Black Bass OD and then tried to sell it for 2x what you bought it for.
Isn't that the very definition of pump and dump?
Wow your life must be very sad and lonely to dredge up this stuff, but I will answer it because every motherfucker who owned one of those tried to do the same thing. It's called business man. When something is scarce, you try to get a premium for it. By the way, I ended up barely breaking even on that sale, proving once again, you make all these fucking claims with no backup fool. Anyhow, if that's all you got I suggest you go back to TB where the collective circle jerk can continue. Fuckin punk ass bitch.
'
At least you admit you did it rather than trying to lie your way out of this one as well.
Starting a thread praising a pedal and then dumping it at a premium is the definition of pump and dump. You call it business, I call it slimy as fuck.
No wonder so many builders refuse to accept orders from you and even pretend to be out of production!

So no one on earth ever started a praise thread only to sell a pedal a few weeks or months later? Talk to your boy Gregmon about his cum-dripping descriptions and then two weeks later he finds another pedal and the previous one was taken off the board. Not that he's selling any but my point remains. I can love a pedal, praise it, but sell it because I want the money to fund a new purchase. Did it ever cross your mind that that's what I'm doing? You continue to make wild allegations that have no basis in fact. The fact that i lose tons of money selling boutique stuff that I buy new never seems to get into your incredibly thick skull. If i was pumping and dumping for profit, I would actually show a profit. I lose easily a third to half of the money on whatever I buy. And I always bought boutiques new, actually supporting these guys. Not anymore though.
And since you were stupid enough to bring up the Mountainking incident, If they actually pretended to be out of business to not sell to me, that would be news to other people who emailed me and said the same thing happened to them. Plus I had taken delivery of a new Behemoth the week before....
Anyhow, no other builder has ever refused to sell me anything so once again you're full of shit. It's quite the opposite in fact. A maker who shall remain nameless actually wanted to send me prototypes to check out and critique and Dunwich sent me the shipping notice for the VT125 today.
I find it awfully pathetic that you and your butt buddy continue to be obsessed with me, but I can't control what you do. I just suggest checking out my reverb page and see the rep I actually have in the real world with regards to buying and selling. Here's the link for all to see.
https://reverb.com/shop/mannys-gear-emporium-1
PS- I may just end up emailing Mountainking to ask them about your specific allegation. I will be sure to use your name/handle in my correspondance as the person who publicly said what they did. I'm sure they'll be very happy about the fact that now people know they do this, assuming your full of shit allegation was true.

Remember that
you said stuff about Mountainking.
You did. LOL You always get like this Manny. You troll, then you get mad when you get caught. You're a silly little dude. Lighten up. Drink some coffee at whatever temperature you feel like having it.
I thought we were all too serious and we needed to lighten up. Such flip flopping. You should be on twitter.

An email has been sent to Nate at Mountainking specifically asking about your allegations. Don't even try to pretend that you weren't talking about Mountainking because they were the only builder to ever cancel my order.
