This is my youngest dog called Rosie. She's adopted because rich people like to say to their rich friends that they bought the expensive dog but they don't like to take care of the expensive dog. A classic tale. You can also see about 25% of my older dog Linda.

Oh man, that reminded me of this old pic of Sabbath and his sister Maggie (my friend Tyler has her).

Oh my lord Rosie is adorable as all get out. Yeah, we got a full-bred golden retriever from the animal shelter, for much the same reason. When we got him, he was a total hyper-spazzball, too, which makes me think they saw a cute puppy and went for it, but when said cute little ball of fluff grew into a 100 lb wired-up nutjob, they couldn't take it.
He's mellowed out IMMENSELY since then.

He just decided that he was going to climb into the hood of my hoodie while I was wearing it. He stayed there for like 10 minutes too. I miss that cat.

Honestly, if he could have found a way to physically be in my heart he would have. He spent all day either sleeping on me, or sleeping in my clothes with me, and then would spend the nights sleeping with me under my blankets. I miss him so damn much it breaks my heart.

i feel that way about the cats i had with my ex...the boys were SO SWEET, and Ronaldinho the big grey boy followed me around the house like a puppy dog. when i was so totally suicidal all i could do was sit on the sofa and stare at the floor, he would come and sit between my feet looking up at me until he broke my train of thought. it was like he was saying "hey, look at me...I'M your reason for living." and Buddy slept at my feet every night, keeping my feet warm all winter. i will never stop missing them.
fortunately for me, Lulu is a total sweetheart and loves me very much. she was sitting in my lap today while i was internetting on the laptop until my legs fell asleep after an hour. if i could have kept sitting cross-legged she'd probably have stayed there all afternoon. she's sitting on the pillow next to me now.

My cats absolutely saved me. I don't think I'd be here if I didn't have them in my life. I just feel horrible that he saved me, but I couldn't do the same.

I knew her previous owner for years and I told him in no uncertain terms that he'd be a fool to get that dog. Well three years later he realized I was right and made the hand-off. Sadly she was able to develop some OUTRAGEOUS manners while he had her and she's been a handful. Don't get me wrong though, she's wonderful. Here's some (long and boring) video that shows Rosie, the rest of my dogs and even Rosie's former owner. Sadly two of these beautiful canines are now deceased.

incredibly sweet. even though i'm obviously a cat guy, i've been thinking that this thread needed more dogs. i love dogs, but my life doesn't really have room to give a dog the attention it deserves. and Lulu would KILL me.

I was always a cat guy until I inherited my first pitbull. I didn't have a cat at the time and it turned out that she (the pit, Jade) wasn't really cat friendly. Or too cat friendly depending on how you look at it. At any rate I can't have cats right now which is a shame because I like them about as well as I like dogs.
