Got this setup sitting here and no bassist in my band. My wife asked me to teach her the songs so we'll see how it goes. I'd like to swap out the active pickups but it still sounds great as is. The Supercollider sounds massive but there is a Badascan, Revelation / Ritual custom job and a Quantum Mystic all behind that cab that will get thrown in the mix tomorrow. Doom as fuck.

thats cool man...especially if your wife starts playing!

i tried to teach my wife guitar, but the pain on her finger tips was too much for her...i told her it will get better when she gets calluses...to which her response was..."why would i want calluses?"...end of lesson!

Nice conk!
Actives are not a bad thing on bass.
Good for punch.

one of the more stock-slightly boring rigs I've ever had, but it's loud as tits and getting the job done so I'm not complaining.

Gibson LP Smartwood (know very little about these, killer guitar though)

Boss TU3
a newer Whammy
OCD
a newer silver Muff I'm not too keen on
MXR Carbon Copy
ISP Decimator

I changed my board and sold some stuff and bought some stuff right after this was taken (yesterday, I know you guys understand)

Peavey 6505/Ampeg v4 ran in stereo with this surprisingly tight (90's? school me on these) ampeg 4x12

Cool shit man, I love me some Ampeg V4! Selling stuff for more (better) stuff is like crushing coal into diamonds.

Finally had the $ to bring this home. Has a rattling speaker, but my boss was uber cool and I've got an Eminence Kappalite 3012HO on the way to fix it. Sounds sick through the 2x10. Once I get the speaker replaced I've got a 1x12AX7 hybrid 300 watt bass or guitar amp that goes to 425 watts with another 8 ohm cab (like my Randall 4x12, the Avatar bass cab pictured, or a 1x15 I'll have by end of July). Surprised that Genz amps aren't more popular, I'd compare them to the Carvin B500/B1500 amps, great eq and volume, very pedal friendly. Finally my search for a brutal combo is at an end!

Hell yeah they are. If my Genz combo fell through, I was going to hop on a Mesa Bass Buster 200. That one is basically a 200 watt Bassman-type amp.

Never heard of it before, but fucked if a 200w Bassman does not sound appealing.
