yarp - but is reputed to produce the much sought after "chime" with subtle purple spectra

yep, just a ways down the road from Noxapater and Bogue Chitto (tho I know of nobody from either of those places), but over a hundred miles to the BB King Museum in Indianola.
About the same distance in the other direction to Monticello (MS, not NY), home of JB Lenoir:
