yah. i like the SoundCloud too. gotta clear out a metric ass-ton of old files offa there site though.
and they have an app that works on smartphones.

Yup,...as well as an iPhone,....iPod app,...which will allow you to record using the mic on the device and upload straight to the site.

because the fidelity blows and their upload mechanism is gay and in order to uplod anythin g over like 3 minutes you have to pay for the service.
at least sc gives you 2 hours of time free.

FWIW we have the Soundcloud solo account and it amounts to around $13 a month which we pay for from money that we make off shows and from Bandcamp.

I love the Soundcloud widgets and how they embed. The way RN does it,...at least for facebook is really obnoxious and resource gobbling too. Ever go to a Facebook band page that has a Reverbnation embedded on it? SuckCity.
